This is a project recommended for young children aged 4 – 9 years. It is a creative exercise that should be done together. Deciding which items to include in the list should be jointly agreed. Here are some examples to get you both started!
“Good Morning Poster!”
- Wake up, rise and shine
- Come to the table for your yummy breakfast
- Clean your teeth
- Wash your face and hands
- Get dressed into your school clothes
- Coat and shoes on
- Ready to leave!
“After-school Poster”
- Shoes and coat off and put away nicely
- Drink and snack at the table
- 30 minutes of screen-time
- Free-play (garden or indoors with toys)
- Wash your face and hands for tea
- Tea at the table
- Use your knife and fork
- Manners please!
“Getting Ready for Bed Poster”
- Toys away at 6.00 pm
- Help mummy /daddy run the bath
- Into the bath, splash and bubbles
- PJ time
- Clean your teeth
- Jump into bed
- Story time at 7.15 pm
- Lights out! Night, night!
As I grew older things didn’t really get any better. Eventually mum said we were going to visit a man called an educational psychologist. He was going to test my development rather like the milestones in my baby book. To see if there was anything I needed help with like for example my spelling and writing.
